How is my desire to effect change threatening to you? Many are throwing around a lot of statistics which for years have been exploited by the media. However, although the black on black crimes are more prevalent in the news please note that it occurs more often in other communities. Outside of the statistics, the real issue is the disparity that is occurring in our justice system. However many throw around statistics to hide the fact of a problem that needs to be addressed. Yes there are problems in our community just like there are problems everywhere and if individuals choose to take a stand... A peaceful stand... Then how does this cause harm to you? Some may not decide to participate in the peaceful protest however I feel that change can occur when we all are united in a peaceful effort. I plan to do my part... Other than sitting around and debating what will you do?
