How many of you guys have a very limited amount of time with your sks??? We get my SD for 2 months out of the year..... I do have certain expectations for her..... Shes 10 So I KNOW that she is fully capable of understanding what can and cant be done. What will and wont be tolerated. IE I will NOT tolerate lying (thank you Jennifer for teaching her to be a habitual liar like you are!!! AWESOME parenting skills btw.), I will not tolerate her attempting to run my house and boss me, my hubby, my in laws around (shes 10 for crying out loud), and I will NOT tolerate disrespect for anyone/anything. There are just certain boundaries I feel need a high expectation and standards should not be lowered for any exceptions.... My MIL keeps INSISTING we need to be easier on my SD when she comes home next summer..... I will NOT be bullied by a 10 year old.... NOT HAPPENING! My house, my rules... dont like it??? Well, get use to it... Honestly, its not like Im asking for a blood sample daily. Or asking her to recite the entire dictionary... These are simple life skills I feel she needs to have...
