How many times do you think we, as Christians have stood in church during invitation flippantly singing I Surrender All? Do we really surrender ALL?!? As I talked to Josh Adams, my buddy and my husbands cousin..... I claim him too , ( he loves me more.... Just dont tell Jonathan)😉 a couple of weeks ago, I selfishly said, Josh, why dont you, Amber, and the babies just come home? He said I dont want to leave wondering, if there was fruit ripe for the harvest! If you know them and know what theyve been through, since having been missionaries to the Phillipines, I think you would agree they have surrendered ALL! I think of Bro. Bryan McMorris and Mrs. Donna Norred McMorris, whos ,10 year doubtless precious, little girl, has cancer that is difficult to operate on and is under going chemotherapy. Yet, as far as, I can tell from their posts they seem resolute to surrender all! God will put us in places where we can become bitter or better. My dad ( Robert Dansby) said long ago that we have taken,OH,out of our praying, when approaching our Lord! I want to say, Oh, Lord, I want to become better in Christ. Not with works of righteousness, which I do! They are , as filthy rags, but the righteousness, which He is working in me. He will put us in places, where we can choose to sit at His feet. We will have to surrender all for the sacrificial worship. The kind in John:3, where Mary surrendered all she had. While Martha scurried about serving, Mary took a years worth of wages, her alabaster oil, and anointed, bathed, and worshipped at Jesus feet. I cant think of a better place to be. If youre facing a situation, where God may be asking you to surrender all, it may be the best, most glorious, and blessed time of your life! If you allow Him to perform His work in you rather than kicking against His will! I want to be surrendered, contented, and wholly trusting in whatsoever state He has me in, if God will grant me the grace. I know He will, since thats just the Divine Nature of the God I serve!
