How often has someone presented to my office, radiologists report - TopicsExpress

How often has someone presented to my office, radiologists report in hand, utterly confident that he/she has a diagnosis and only needs treatment for the condition listed under IMPRESSION in the report. Radiologist are in a dark room with a viewing screen, to interpret the pixels that they have. What they dont have is a physical patient. Radiologists are not in the room with you..they cannot ask directed questions about your condition, they cannot examine YOU, review the images and re-examine you now armed with the information provided by the image. I dont treat images....My goal is to help the PERSON recover from a condition to their previous level of health. Sometimes it involves treating/educating an entire family. I often use the radiologists images to help with the diagnosis but the images are only one piece of the puzzle to help with your diagnosis and treatment plan.
