How time drags when one is just waiting on something. I am never - TopicsExpress

How time drags when one is just waiting on something. I am never going to use DirectTV again. They force their customers to mail the equipment back to them when service has to be disconnected. They mail a postage paid box to put them in and send back to the warehouse or whatever. They are quick to sell their service and get you set up, but try getting rid of the equipment. I had the service turned off last week and am still waiting for their box....and I get this rather snippy recorded call from them dunning me for their junk and threatening me with charging 500 to 600 bucks for the un returned equipment. Meanwhile, FEDEX is supposed to deliver the boxes and the last time I used priority mail it took the six days to get a guaranteed three days to get a mailing to its destination. Do I sound a bit disgruntled? Well, I am. Oh, yes, one more thing....everytime we had a rainstorm here in Tennessee the TV signal was lost. I offered to drop the equipment off at a location...but, no...its their way or get billed for the stufll...But I had the same problem with getting Comcast to pick up their equipment when I left Noblesville... Finally got them to set a pick up time and my daughter took her time off to meet the technician. Wondering if there is a better way to get good TV without going through these kinds of gyrations.....
