How to go from awful to awesome in 10 easy steps. 1: Dont work out all week, oversleep and go to swim practice on the first cup of coffee you have had in a month. 2: Add 20 seconds to your time trial time. 3: Do it again because you cant believe it (11 seconds the second time but still going the wrong direction...). 4: Realize you could have doggie paddled faster and hang your head. 5: Have a guest coach and local hall of famer take you under her wing and really give some good solid tips on what your are doing wrong. 6: Show immediate improvements and feel better. 7: Have a good chat over life and races and get totally inspired to get back into the training swing. 8: Chat with the gals in the locker room and realize maybe I will race something this year after all because EVERYONE has their thing they are getting over - even Boston qualifiers have their hangups. 9: Stop at Chipolte to find they are now serving organic tofu (it doesnt have to be big things to make me happy). 10: Receive coupon for free lunch.
