Hughenden Racecourse, 1989. This image shows the grandstand and bookmakers covered area. The grandstand is supposed to have come to Hughenden by wagon from Deniliquin, almost 2000kms away. Also displayed in the image is an elevated water tank and corrugated iron structure. The grandstand was demolished in 2013, leaving no facilities at the racecourse.... a big job for the new committee to rebuild!
