About 350.org 350.org is building a global grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. Our online campaigns, grassroots organising, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organisers in over 188 countries. 350.org works hard to organize in a new way—everywhere at once, using online tools to facilitate strategic offline action. We want to be a laboratory for the best ways to strengthen the climate movement and catalyze transformation around the world. About the HR Manager position This is a remote position. We are highly interested in candidates residing in either European, Mediterranean, and/or African time zones. This job provides day to day direction in all aspects of Human Resources. This role engages with staff across the organisation who have questions, concerns, and feedback. The position works to support the Human Resources director in developing organisational guidelines, policies, and procedures on global issues with a global perspective. This position will serve as an additional expert on the interpretation on human resources policies issues for our global staff and International HR. They will develop and assist with the implementation of human resources programs for all global staff. They will also assist with the implementation of foreign entities with a concentration on host country labor law and legal issues. They may maintain involvement with new foreign entities for an extended period to develop policies, processes and procedures and handle staff relations issues. The person in this position will have experience with and understand complexities around coordinating through online platforms and software. Required qualifications Undergraduate degree or higher in Human Resources or related field Four+ years previous NGO and/or corporate experience in global/international HR Strong working knowledge of global cultural norms Strong working knowledge and understanding of progressive values and norms Has worked with and is aware of cross cultural differences in an international workplace setting Superior critical thinking skills, with the ability to research and analyse data drawn from multiple sources to make effective decisions Ability to summarise and present results in a clear concise format The ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines, with minimum supervision Exhibit strong tact, judgement, diplomacy, discretion and resourcefulness Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels of the organization Excellent communicator Fluent in English Excellent interpersonal skills Project management experience Strong analytical skills A compassionate, personable disposition and a sense of humor Sensitivity to confidential matters Ability to travel internationally Experience working with the Google platform, i.e google documents, gmail, gcal, etc. Desired (but not required) skills and experiences A strong understanding of the climate crisis and the social movements working to address it.
