Here is an opportunity to engage with Weatherhead School of Management through free massive open online course (MOOC). Professor Michael Goldeberg of Case Western Reserve University developed MOOC called Beyond Silicon Valley: Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies (https://coursera.org/course/entpecon) which grew out of my work as a Fulbright Scholar in Vietnam in 2012. We had over 23,000 students from 183 countries including a number of active students from the ASEAN region. In several countries around the world, we worked closely with partners who organized local discussions around the MOOC. These sessions typically were held at US Embassies, universities, local businesses or accelerators to discuss the weekly topic of the MOOC and what the reality of the situation was in the local market. Would the Malaysia alumni chapter be interested in hosting local meet-ups around the next session of the MOOC which starts on October 3rd and lasts for 6 weeks?
