Hurry-up and Wait Do you ever experience this? If you say no, there is a place for liars. No one is exempt. This is the foundation for life. From birth to death, every single person no matter what status, position, or lifestyle they have, it is the way it is. There are delays in natural childbirth. Even with all the preparation leading up to that moment, the “Hurry-up and Wait” theory is in action. From that time to the point of waiting for the final call to pass from this life to the next, it is all about “Hurry-up and Wait.” The hardest part about this is having the patience to fend off the frustration build-up. It has been known to produce many negative side effects such as edginess, impatience, anger, resentment, frustration, etc. These are the sparks that can ignite a full-blown anxiety attack, fights, suicides, murders, thefts, vandalism, slander, accidents, riots, wars, separations, divorces, vial comments, hurt feelings, need I go on. These are almost all a result of what? “Hurry-up and Wait.” Something so simple can end in total destruction. Was the reaction worth it? Did it resolve anything? Think of this the next time we feel the blood pressure building because we are just sitting due to a delay. CHILL! No matter how catastrophic it is personally, it is NOT worth taking vengeful action, which might cause hurt or suffering to anyone else including us. Instead, use that time productively by helping others, talking to the person next to us, playing a light-hearted song on the whatever, looking at pictures of loved ones, saying a prayer, or write a book. Exploding is not productive. We may think so at first, but the aftermath is not pretty.
