Hyderabad has been dropped as a venue for the T20 Cricket League - TopicsExpress

Hyderabad has been dropped as a venue for the T20 Cricket League due to security reasons. The IPL COO, Sundar Raman, tweeted confirming the same and added that the matches that were supposed to be played at Hyderabad will be shared between Mohali, Ranchi and Ahmedabad. Four teams - Sunrisers Hyderabad, Otago Volts (New Zealand), Kandurata Maroons (Sri Lanka) and Faisalabad Wolves (Pakistan) - were to play each other once in the CLT20 qualifiers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The three double-headers of the group stages, too, have been shifted out from the state. Mohali will host 5 games (17th, 18th, 19th and the double-header on 24th September), while Ranchi and Ahmedabad will each host a double header on 28th and 30th September respectively.
