Hylo is hiring a part-time community-manager / on-boarding specialist to help set up communities with the tools that they will need to become collaborative resource-sharing webs. Us: Hylo is a new kind of social network that helps people connect, collaborate, and create things together in their communities of purpose, places like co-working space, accelerators, and organizations. We believe that the next iteration of the social web will be allowing people to not just communicate, but to create things together. Hylo makes it easy to discover the abundant skills, resources, and opportunities available within your communities that might otherwise go un-noticed, so that anything you can imagine can be brought into reality with the support of your community. We believe that when we all work together, we can create anything we can imagine. We see a world where we can all thrive by supporting each other. We are a small startup now, but our user-base is beginning to scale to the point where we need You. You: Super savvy web and social media media savant, big thinker, deep thinker, interested in the future of large scale collaboration. You are great at writing copy, prompt, reliable and professional in your email correspondence, are interested in software community management, interested in communities, interested in the future of collaboration, and can help maintain both a relationship with the communities that are joining Hylo, and a clear sense of what they need the product to do for them that it doesnt yet do. You might be familiar with Michel Bauwens work, or Bernard Lietaers work, or Steven Johnsons work. You might be interested in complexity theory. You are passionate, dedicated, and hard-working. You are interested in working, initially, just 3-5 hours per week. (As the company grows, the position and hours can grow.) You may work with us in-person at Impact Hub Oakland, or remotely. Bonus points for Adobe Creative Suite skills, graphics/video, and a dedicated spiritual/awareness practice.
