I AM happy… The one-year anniversary of the First Community - TopicsExpress

I AM happy… The one-year anniversary of the First Community Church (SL) came and went with very little fanfare but there is so much to celebrate. For one, the leadership of Pastors Charltina and Balladeer and their inspirational sermons. (That’s technically two things.) One of the first sermons that Pastor Balla preached at First Community still remains fresh in my memory. I paraphrase what he said: When one says “I am,” all of creation halts and makes note of what follows the “I am…” and will work to make that phrase become a reality for the utterer. What an eye opener that was for me. If I say: I am blessed or that I am defeated, it will happen just as my mouth has spoken. To this equation add Pastor Charltina’s moving accounts of how the Lord kept her through so much adversity, and my faith in the greatness of our God, and His ability to deliver His children, is ever increasing, stronger and deeper. Although the enemy has tried to silence her, Pastor Charltina remains positive, resilient and a true woman of God. There is much stigma attached to church in a virtual setting, but I would like to emphasize that these two, Pastors Charltina and Balla, are as genuine as the Word that they preach. They care about every individual entering the building. Their paternal/maternal attributes are clearly apparent when praying for their members, individually or collectively. Their RL/SL relationship is also exemplary of an association grounded in the Word. It is so wonderful to see two people so in love and working together in one accord. I pray for Pastors Charltina and Balla that they will continue to reap the rewards of their toiling, that the Lord will bless them with continued good health, prosperity and love, and that their influence will continue to increase far and wide. I AM privileged to be a part of this organization; I AM blessed by each sermon preached; I AM growing in my walk; I AM thankful to Silas and Lady Fifi for inviting me to usher; I AM happy…
