life is changing… as written in romans 2:4, …God is kind, but Hes not soft. In kindness He takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life-change. (the message). this is ending a small paragraph in which paul is actually chastising those who are pointing out (wrongs in others) instead of pointing into the wrongs of themselves. i have an amazing husband who has been working in south carolina for over two years. tirelessly, he flies home every weekend to be with me and our daughters and their families… my heart has been torn at what sits in front of me ~ moving. i have separated us for years beyond what was necessary because this has been so emotionally difficult. we are closing on a small and sweet 1920s arts and crafts era house this week in the city of greenville… 3/4 mile from main street, the arts district, the aa baseball stadium. it is ideal. i will be moving. i am moving. i will be a south carolina resident... and i will live here one week of each month. that is a kind and unusual arrangement God has given us and i am grateful. i think cotton grows in the carolinas, but in our 15 years here i have never photographed a texas field. this was a last-ditch effort.. maybe the last field to be harvested locally… i barely caught the last of a pink sky before sundown. cotton is a miraculous crop. it felt pretty incredible to walk the rows all by myself. thank you Dalinda for the encouragement to NOT miss this night! sorry we didnt get to go out in it together. for those with continued interest in contracting photography with me ~ please do. i plan to continue my business between my two states… or anywhere someone would fly me ;)
