When grades were high And tests worth writing. I dreamed that I would never fail I dreamed the Prof would be forgiving! Then I was young and without sleep, And grades were earned and dropped and wasted. There was no homework to be done No quiz undone, no test unwritten. But the TAs come at night With their pencils kind as BlackBoard! As they tear your hope apart, As they turn your As to Fs! He taught a tutorial by my side, He filled my brain with endless knowledge! He took my textbook in his bag But he was gone when midterms came! And still I dream hell teach for me That we will face the tests together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are tests we cannot bullshit I had a dream my grades would be So different from this hell Im failing! So different now from what it seemed Now school has killed the dream I dreamed.
