I LOVE to cook! Like, SERIOUSLY LOVE it!!! Being a Creole woman, its just in my blood. I have been cooking since I was a little girl. I use to try to make a full months menu. I would plan our menu around school and sports. Well, our schedules are becoming so hectic and ever changing, that a full months menu will NO longer work. SO, I have decided on working on a weekly menu. So far its working quite well. That being said, Jason and I decided that we were going to eliminate red meat and pork from our diets for the month of September. Naturally, our 13 year old son was NOT pleased. Our 19 daughter was very excited. And our 9 year old daughter complained, just because she is overly dramatic. When it comes down to it, she rarely eats meat anyways. She just needed to complain. Well, we didnt get to start on the 1st, as football got in the way of our last real red meat meal (grilled burgers). SO we started yesterday. We will continue through the 1st of October. THe little kids can eat red meat ONLY when they have hot lunch at school. They only have meat hot lunch a couple times a month (hamburger (both), pizza & hotdogs (jayden) and taco nachos (kayla)), so I am not too worried about those days. However all other days, including eating out will be strictly chicken, turkey, fish and vegetarian meals. I am quite excited. In the next post, I will share our 1st weeks menu!!! Anyone here a vegetarian?? Vegan?? Dislike red meat, pork, chicken or fish??? Share some of your eating habits?? what about menus??? anyone plan a weekly or monthly menu??
