I SEE BEAUTY I see beauty all around me Everywhere I go I’m rapt in life’s precious ecstasy I see a mother’s undying devotion encompassing a child I see babies and their exhilarating joyful smiles I see violins and cellos playing on a city street I see painters painting their brightest version of life With vibrant reds, cerulean blues and strong scintillating yellows I see the mighty pianist playing in the midst of soft cascading notes I listen to fascinating music at the theatre And breathe it in the crisp invigorating air I caress the wood of the proud April trees And cherish the eternal brown of the dying autumn leaves I see playful pets and sweet fluttering butterflies I behold the sparrows that magically adorn the magnificent skies I see glorious angels and winged seraphs waiting to greet us in Heaven I see silver and gold and the majestic black of a beautiful raven I see people with their gentlest of ways, looking after the elderly I see everlasting love blossoming like a pink garden flower With sublime words of wild passion written in ravishing poetry I see extraordinary mountains and astonishing hills Shiny snowflakes that fall from a wonderful Paradise I can see the sparkle that glitters in the luminescent whirlpool of your eyes I see a lover’s heart pulsating with intense ardent desire I rejoice at the Christmas lively bustle and enjoy sitting in front of a warm fire I can sing merry songs and long-forgotten old tunes I see the mesmeric stars in all their glory enhancing the fantastic shimmer of the moon I see the planets swirling incessantly around the sun I see Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mars and Mercury I gaze adoringly at the incredibly talented jazz improvisers And am completely smitten by their perfect unimaginable harmony .. I see beauty all around me That is all I see!
