National Geographic Jumps on the Bandwagon with “American Blackout” But this isn’t the only program exploring the impact of a nationwide grid failure. National Geographic is airing “American Blackout” starting on October 27. This show will seek to demonstrate how quickly society will break down following a “grid down” scenario.
