I Watched the SOTU address by Obama and as usual he complains that he cant work with the Congress, especially the Tea Party Republicans, so he is going to use his pen and phone and go around them. Here is my question to the President: do you think that you can get the Tea Party to agree with you when you have never spoken to them directly only criticizes them from some speakers platform in some distance city? Instead of climbing aboard Air Force and flying off to some scheduled rally, why not sit down with the House of Representatives both Democrats and Republicans and ask them to put together 5 items they would like passed in the house (5 from Democrats and 5 from Republicans) then go over to the Senate and do the same thing. Collect their answers and compare and look for common ground between the Democrats and Republican in both Houses. Now you have a starting point for negotiations, this will be far more effective then flying off to some other city to complain about the House Republicans and especially the Tea Party who you hate and We The People Love. As long as you refuse to bend you will forever be a lame duck (sorry Ducks).
