I actually thought England were much more effective as a team when they didnt have Sterling on the pitch. Lallana in particular bossed the rest of the game and Englands distribution was more balanced all over the pitch. Sterling is an important player and is dynamic when he is on form and in full flight, but there are times when even Liverpool will have to learn that everything can not go through one player. Roy Hodgson might have accidentally stumbled on a new strategy by replacing Raheem Sterling at half time but it could end up as a blessing in disguise if it takes some of the pressure and expectations off his shoulder at times. Liverpool fans might not think the same way especially the way Liverpool played with out him recently but the one thing they must not forget is that now they have a much improving Lallana to call the shots when Sterling is rested.
