I agree, healthy eating and exercise are SUPER important, but to what degree? People who are obsessed with it are known as orthorexic which can be completely unhealthy as restriction becomes the norm and balance is completely forgotten. I mean, did I eat a total of FOUR natas (custard-filled pastry tarts) in Portugal? Hell yes. Did I drink wine while in Italy? You damn straight I did (and more than a couple) plus I also had the best pizza of my life. No, we cant always be perfect and if you become obsessed with it, youll get nothing in return but the disappointment of imperfection. Its why as a practitioner, I have never claimed to be perfect because damn it Im human first. Plus I think health should be balanced and be attainable for all rather than raising an eyebrow at you if God forbid you buy a non-organic bag of kale. So yes... ...orthorexia, its a thing.
