I agree with this to a certain extent. Some push youth sports way. Where is the competitiveness anymore? Seems like having fun is enough, what about winning? What are we teaching kids if all they here are positive words all the time and asking if they had fun? One day (the real world) will hit and having fun isnt enough, they will have to produce (win) to keep their job. All they ever knew was have fun not compete, work hard, you arent as good as your mom/dad says you are, you have to work to be your best, the team counts on you to work hard each and every day, you will fail more than you succeed and nothing prepares you on how to bounce back and work even harder to succeed than sports do. If we take out winning and competition then we teach kids its ok to just have fun.
