I always forget that what I consider to be basic knowledge of comics and Star Wars isnt actually a common thing to know. Examples: met a girl who didnt know who Han Solo was. My cousin thought Harrison Ford was a president. A girl saw my Poison Ivy cosplay and thought it was Mother Nature because she never heard of Poison Ivy. The most recent thing: people know Im going as a Batman character to Megacon and see a question mark in my hair and swatches of my question mark fabric. To me, Id assume they would know Im going as Riddler but almost every person has said Im going to be the Joker. I get so irritated and pissed off because I assume everyone knows simple things like this but the sad reality of the world is that these things are not common knowledge. It saddens me.
