WHY JONATHAN DUMPED APGA, AND BACK NWOYE President Goodluck - TopicsExpress

WHY JONATHAN DUMPED APGA, AND BACK NWOYE President Goodluck Jonathan had earlier bought the dummy sold him by Governor Peter Obi, to concede Anambra State to him for all his loyalty and support, and that way, secure Anambra for his Presidential Race in 2015. Jonathan agreed and really wanted it that way. After all, his concern is 2015, and the support of the entire South East, Anambra inclusive. Jonathan knows APGA does not exist in the real sense of the word as it is an extension of the PDP as a matter of fact, even though Obi and Umeh deceive the entire population with a deceitful claim that APGA is the Igbo party while using the platform for their business. Last week, some Senior Advocates of Nigeria advised the President that the case of Double Registration against Willie Obiano is potent and that even if he wins, he would still not rule as Governor since the issue is criminalized by the Electoral Act. Alarmed, the President marshaled his men and resources and headed to Awka to see to it that PDP goes for the battle instead if though Tony Nwoye is hardly the option the PDP would have used if they were better prepared. Though the President was misinformed and in fact deceived by the Obi-Umeh triangle, the President is aware of the dilema of the late entry of Tony Nwoye and the un-strategic disqualification of Soludo who was said to be coming with Bianca Ojukwu as deputy, under APGA. The President was scared off by Governor Obi about Soludo by telling that Soludo would behave like Rochas and would dump APGA after winning and join the APC in pursuit of his Presidential ambition, which makes becoming a Vice President now a steeping stone. Now, PDP is running from Pillar to post and has joined APGA in buying Voters cards and bribing voters. But they have also realized that the only strategy left as buying of voters card may not work if Jega follows through his promise for a free and fair election. Oyi Council appointed administrator was 2 days ago arrested with fake voters cards and ballot papers, proving the level of desperation by both APGA and PDP. But in Anambra people collect money from all the candidates and still vote who they want. Besides, Jega was said not to be disposed to rig for the PDP or APGA as Iwu his predecessor did in 2010. President Jonathans move is also already proving counterproductive, as Tony Nwoye, a well known mobilizer is already rampaging through the Anambra North, the only support base for Willie Obiano. Ngiges deputy Hon. Ralph Okeke is also from the north and is a grassroots politician, having served as Anambra West LG Chairman twice and as an Honourable Member House of Reps. What this means is that Anambra North will be split down the seam by the three, putting clearly in jeopardy the chances of either Nwoye or Obiano emerging. It is more so where Ngige is the only candidate from the central and Anambra South up for grabs with Ngige also clearly having an upper hand there. This explains why all the opinion polls gave it to Ngige and why Ngige is indeed headed to victory. LAW MEFOR This is an interesting piece
