I am SO angry. My mum is in hospital - Ill cut a long story short - has had trouble breathing for a long time - they found enlarged heart - lots of fluid - had an op a few months ago and 2 stents inserted, but nothing got better. So back to the hospital everything checked, might have to do a couple more stents or a pacemaker. Operation yesterday. I went in on Thursday and she was really upset. She couldnt breathe, and the nurse wouldnt give her oxygen because her blood oxygen level was 98 percent which is normal range. So were not giving you oxygen!. Not one nurse listened, and Mum was almost in tears. By the time I went in they had given her oxygen but she had been without for 24 hours! So yesterday during the op they found that between the 2 stents, a blood clot had formed. No wonder Mum felt like she was in danger. So where does this feckin nurse get off?? Shes not a doctor. If mum had died - Oh sorry, I didnt know she had a blood clot. Well no-one knew, but this nurse (in charge) was getting really pissed off at Mum. A nurse is NOT a doctor. A doctor should have been called. Ive told Mum to report all this to the hospital, because these situations should never happen. Okay, Ive vented.
