I am THE cover girl this month on the St. Louis edition of Healthy Cells magazine, which features my article about coping with depression. They used my Facebook cover photo, one I shot of myself at Camp Big Sky last year. Upon request, I wrote this very personal article, detailing my own challenges with depression, after beloved actor/comedian Robin Williams recent suicide after his own battle with this disease. Enough is enough! I cant stand by any longer as individuals and families tackle this very real and serious disease that affects millions. The stigma and mindset much of society has on this issue has to be addressed NOW, and I will take whatever stand is necessary to eliminate misinformation and the horrible misunderstandings many people continue to have and spread about depression and other issues affecting the brain.
