I am a former worshiper of Dixie and racist in denial who was a leader in establishing private segregated academies in SC to avoid public school integration in the 1960s, worked for George Wallaces campaign for President and became its Executive Director and named my son Jefferson Davis Turnipseed 1969 before going 180 in the early 1970s. It wasnt enough for me to only apologize for my racist activism so I became an anti-racist political and legal activist who became a SC State Senator and a life member of the NAACP who was co-counsel in a law suit against KKK for burning down an African-American church in Clarendon County, SC and won a $37 m8illion dollar verdict.
