I am attaching a news article which I think is a harbinger of things to come. The article notes that certain military options could cost as much as $1 Billion a month. The article also declares that President Obama "has shown no appetite" for military intervention, but he has had plenty of appetite for Iraq-- we still have a military presence there-- and Afghanistan. So much for your President Hope and Change. Folks, we do not wage war to defend ourselves, or to protect our democratic principles or way of life. We wage war for two primary reasons and one secondary reason. The primary reasons are profiteering, and the consolidation of a pervasive, centralized government. The secondary reason is to enhance the power of the particular person who is in charge at the moment. Long story short, whatever the Government does about Syria-- or any other such adventure-- is not in your best interests.
