I am currently in Ashram life so for the time being my internet access will be one day a week and then sitting meditating in silence and listening to spirtual discourse. The place is truly stunning and there is a great serenity here. Its a remote Penuisla and there are maybe 50 people at the retreat from all over the world, but most of the people are from the states. There is relatively little or no talking most of the time and it offers a great opportunity for introspection, Its amazing all the different moments in our life that become more clear given distance and pure silence. Its also incredible how telepathically connected I feel to so many souls ive met along the way and feeling their presence with me at different moments while being at the Ashram. At times it feels like a life review.. Every place in the world has various types of energy that it emits and this place has a calmness and clarity that pushes me to search for a deeper compassion and empathy. Often, I have found myself looking to connect with others and often find as that connection within me is deepened my connection with other people anywhere in the world is made stronger. We are not merely these bodies and minds is the conclusion that is deepened each time I go into a retreat. There is so much clutter gathered by the mind, but rarely do we make time to clean out the clutter. Most people just hope it goes away, but instead it merely accumulates and lingers in the subconscious. I have found that meditation and service to be the best way to remove the clutter and find my joy and serenity. I hope that in some way this inspires you to connect more with your true self and if you are already doing that I hope this encourages you to deepen your commitment.
