I am glad that since the Sandy Hook school killings, communities through out our country are uniting to do something about gun violence. Also, mental health officials are focusing on the stress endured by people who face unrelenting trauma from neighborhood violence. This is a good thing and I am hopeful that this time we will actually act on these issues. I have watched these issues only talked about for most of my sixty years plus but now something may actually happen to correct them.
