I am glad there is a growing public awareness about the sad realities of how incarceration does not stop with "time served". The collateral consequences of incarceration run deeper than many realize. Although there is language such as a constant referral to these human beings as ex-offender, felon, ect. I wish people would be mindful of, I am hopeful continual public education and the shared stories of these individuals will gain momentum. We can and will start to reevaluate how we see one another, as a community rather than divisive groups of "us" and "them"
