I am having an internal dilemma over this Donald Sterling issue. On the one hand, I think he is a racist piece of shit who, even though he had blacks who were good enough to make him money by playing for him, and even coaching his players, they are not good enough to be seen in photos with him or those he was close to. I dont feel like that is the best person to run a very public orginization........... BUT then, on the other hand, I dont feel like something someone says in the privacy of their own home, to the person they are intimate with, should be able to be used to cost someone their livelihood. This is rife with Orwellian 1984 kind of oversight. In public, you are expected to be watched and viewed by pretty much everyone....but in your own home, you should be able to be who you really are without it bleeding over into your work or public life. So, I am torn on this. I dont particularly want him to be in that position of power with that much of a potential to abuse that power....BUT, I also believe that a persons place to actually vent in an honest way should be in the privacy of their own home....even if what they are venting is their honest, hateful, vile, bigotry.
