I am of no true religion but in my opinion if there were more people like the man described in this story the world would truly be a better place . Sometimes in our own times of struggle we forget about those who truly do not have anything and more of us than not will look at the poor dirt covered soul sitting on a bench in the park or on the side walk beside a store and say to ourselves " get a job or you will only buy booze with it " . How is it that we the people who make the world what it is today have the right to look at some one and judge them without knowing their story . Remember friends the system doesnt always work and 90% of those you see in this way are the ones the system has failed . Be kind and donate / buy them a coffee or a sandwich , give them a smile , maybe gather some old clothes or a blanket you no longer need and give it to them the next time you see them . Hell for $10.00 you could pop into the grocery store and buy them a loaf of bread , jar of peanut butter , jar of Jelly and a jug of water ... Remember what goes around comes around and 1 good deed could cleanse your soul for a while . Be kind to one another . Heck Jay and I live off social security and we always give spare change to those we see in need ...
