I am one angry man. I had almost finished my day of jury duty when I got picked to sit on a jury. Fortunately the judge promises that the trial will conclude tomorrow. That was my second jury panel of the day. In the morning I had sat through a first tedious hour of voir dire without being chosen. But there was a silver lining: those proceedings took place in courtroom 400, possibly the grandest in the whole of the Clarence Mitchell Courthouse, which dates from 1896. Better yet, its the room where the climactic scene in And Justice for All was filmed back in 1979. If you havent seen Al Pacinos performance in that scene, you should--its one of the best courtroom scenes ever, and it got Pacino the Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
