I am pretty upset with the whole zimmerman/martin ordeal. Let me put that out there first and foremost. Now I want to say that this is an interesting case for a large number of reasons, and here are a few. If Zimmerman lived in ANY other state, or under a different set of laws, would he carry a gun to be able to fire at will under the circumstances of threat? In other words is it less the people, and more the system in which they live in that creates this type of violence? I am by no means saying that what Zimmerman did is justifiable, but if he lived in Massachusetts, does he just keep moving along and avoid the conflict altogether?
