I am probably one of Singapore Airlines biggest fans... Our first choice of travel for as long as I can remember. We have tried every other airline but we end up choosing SQ at the end of the day... Why? Because 99% of my experiences with them have been amazing. No airline is perfect but its how the airline handles the problems that distinguishes them from the rest. In SQs case... Its all that AND the fact that they go the extra mile... Thank you Singapore Airlines for making the 11.30 hour journey not only memorable but also special for my little girl, Keira, yesterday. Upon boarding, the air stewardess in charge of our section of the plane asked for the names of both my girls before giving them little box of play souvenirs to keep them occupied for the journey. In our 10 second chat, I mentioned that Keira is very excited to be celebrating her 8th birthday with family in Singapore as well as to being a flower girl for my brothers wedding. To my utmost surprise and appreciation... 2.5 hours before landing, a stewardess appeared with a surprise for Keira: a piece of cheesecake, a teddy bear not only for her but also for Teggy and an impromptu but beautiful handmade card for Keira signed by a number of crew including the captain. Keira was very very surprised and happy to say the least... It all happened so fast and so unexpectedly... I never got a chance to thank the crew of SQ 345 ( that flew Zurich-Singapore on the 1st of July...), especially the stewardess and crew that took the time and effort to make that card, to prepare the gifts just to make that flight a special one for a little girl they barely knew. I have attached the card with the signatures of the crew so maybe one of my friends out there may just know one of the crew members that did this act of kindness... Please help me send my heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of the crew that had a part to play in this... You were not only doing your job, you went the extra mile... You guys are the reason why Singapore Airlines remains one of the best airlines to date... You made Singapore proud... Thank you... Ps: the cake was in a much better state but I had to fight Keira off just so I could take a picture of it to show Daddy and the family...
