I am proud to present the latest addition to my family as of last night. Renamed now, Sasha, this young sweet thing was rescued a couple weeks ago and captured my brothers heart to urge him to drive out and take her home. After his 16 yr old rescue shepherd passed last month, we werent aware he was looking, but as I say, the best way to honor an animal who has passed is to save another if you are able. Thats what he and my sister and her husband do with each heartbreak now. This girl may have been an outside dog before her rescue with her ears healing from bloody flea bites,but she ll live the Life of Riley now with her rescue shepherd brother in a home where they reign. They even have their own furnished basement with doggie walk out to their own privacy fenced yard. She has already bonded with grandkids/his great nieces and all of us love her sweet soul and smart mind. To think 20 years ago, my brother got his dogs from backyard breeders, knowing what he knows now,he focuses on saving them through rescue. This is now, his 4th rescue baby who will have a home for the rest of her natural life. Thank you to 12 Hills Dog Rescue for allowing us to be part of her life. Rose
