I am quite baffled by the manner in which we as Christians perceive the sentiment of the Lords gift of Speaking In Tongues. I have gone to churches other than the one I grew up in & was shocked that at one, people were forced to speak in tongues (while these are visitors/new people to the church) who new nothing about Tongues. They were forced to do so or else they werent allowed to leave. I was taught that tongues are a gift, not something forced upon & the Lord gives us these gifys only when we commited in Him, The Son & The Holy Spirit, & shouldnt be forced upon. But thats what I read in the Bible, or what I interpreted rather.
