I am respectfully asking atheists and non Christan theists to remain out of this conversation as this is directed toward OEC and theistic evolutionary Christians. I am personally a OEC that rejects evolution in agreement with the progressive creation model outlined by Dr. Hugh Ross of Reasons to Believe. However, evolution is NOT the topic. It seems many of the aforementioned Christians do not accept the credibility of the old testament and the miracles described therein. Remember, to be a Christian you have to sincerely believe in the greatest miracle of all, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Additionally, your vehement opposition and open ridicule of your YEC Christian brothers and sisters is duly noted. It would seem some of you enjoy the intellectual affirmation of atheists (who ridicule you also for believing Christ resurrected) a little too much. Genesis is a book of controversy among Christians which is understandable as the Hebrew word for day, yom, can have different meanings. We must all stand united beyond the first few chapter in genesis and bring the gospel message to the lost. That, and not pleasing men who live in the world, is what is MOST important. God bless.
