I am so fortunate that my Mum got it right the second time around. My "real" father disowned me at age 12. My step-father, who I call "Dad", because he deserves that, stepped in at age 7 and has been there for me ever since. A man of few words, but many smiles, jokes, and a great belief in "mind over matter" as he calls it. A wicked card player, awesome cook, engaging storyteller, and more patience than I could ever dream of...oh and the best sense of humour.
