I am so, so sad and confused right now. My Australian Shepherd, Chip, has gone missing from my farm. Its as though he just vanished! I was out with the sheep in the sheep field and when I came back to the house I saw that Rambo (another Aussie) had gotten out of our fenced in yard (nothing new for him). At the time I didnt realize that Chip was not in the yard, so I went back out to work on some pens in the sheep area. When I came back to the kennel I saw that Chip was not there. Then I realized that he must have gotten out with Rambo earlier. Usually when theyve gotten out they go back to where the steer are and chase them around just for kicks (thats what Aussies like to do!) so I rode all around the fields thinking that maybe he had gotten kicked by a steer. Not the case. (which is good) Ive called Animal Control, but hes not there. Ive driven all over the area and still no Chip. I dont know what else to do. I hate to think of him out there somewhere alone. I hope no one has taken him, but I dont know what else to think. Please pray that we find my Chippy. His mom, EV just died a couple weeks ago and Im still grieving her. :(
