I am so thrilled, elated and sincerely happy for you. Life is funny how we all arrive at different points at different times. I just somehow knew Lavender would be great with you. October 18, 2013, One month after I had been working with Lavender, I sent a note of gratitude to the Assistant Director of training at Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Graham Buck has been a mentor and a friend. He had a hand in selecting Lavender to be my guide. In July of 2013, two months prior to my meeting Lavender on September 15, 2013, Graham was training with Lav and keeping me abreast of her progress. It was wonderful to be so much apart of those final months of her formal training. The above quoted words are from Graham in response to my thanks for all he had done to bring Lavender and I together. As we came to our one year anniversary yesterday, I spent a good part of the morning looking through photos to compile a year in review to post to her page. I was overwhelmed trying to choose photos to share. I decided instead to post one picture a month from 2013 each month as we continue through the year, along with a photo from the current month. Today well share: Sept 2013 Our graduation hike at Clifton Gorge. A really awesome, fun and refreshing day! A great celebration and an honest testament to our developing bond of communication and trust essential to our work as a team. Sept 2014 Our one year. The food refusal challenge expressed with Love. She conquers it without as much as a glance! Rewarded with a kiss and one less treat was returned to the bag :) Happy Anniversary Lavender! So very happy to have you by my side.
