I am soooo happy that my baby, Sugar-Shane is finally getting some much needed rest without sedatives. Hes had a severe cough since Friday night. After a trip to the emergency vet, 2 additional vet visits and some sleepless nights, I learned today that his heart disease is rapidly progressing. At this point his heart is so enlarged that it is blocking his airway and causing his trachea to collapse. We have been managing his cough with sedatives, so he can sleep and heal. Tonight he is coughing much less. Praying that the worst is over.
