I am sorry this turned out so long, but please bare with it. I think its worth the read. would like to share the incredible story of someone I had the opportunity to meet. His name is Aaron Baker. He was the AMA amateur in 1998, and had signed on with Team Steffi to go per in 1999. While practicing between seasons he suffered a severe crash and broke his spine in several places. He was said to never have use of his legs or hands again. However he did not and would not give up. This man has ridden a bike across the country several times and has dedicated his life to raising awareness and money for spinal cord injury. I consider myself very lucky to have met this young man. Just remember when you think things cant get any worse, just remember Aaron Baker and his strength to push forward. He has been started many non profit organizations, has to be one of my biggest insperations. Im not sure I would have pushed as hard after my stroke if not for meeting him. One of the most inspiring and gracious people who I have ever had the opportunity to meet. I Love you Arron, god bless and be with you always.
