I am the only one awake here in Philadelphia (of course). I guess - TopicsExpress

I am the only one awake here in Philadelphia (of course). I guess I was just so overwhelmed tonight reading my birthday cards from my son, my Mina, and my Maxwell and Juliet (who made theirs). Mina said she won because more tears fell from my eyes when reading hers aloud. She can hardly bear to use the term mother (in-law), so she crossed the in-law off the card because that is not what it has ever been between us. The card doesnt exist that defines what we are to each other. So she wrote about those feelings and I lost my mascara. I explained to my GRANDchildren why I have always had cards read openly for others to hear. It had to do with my blessed father when I was a child, a very tender story I have sometimes shared. My first born son wrote everything that filled my heart with a reassurance that lessens every facet of human pain. I am in love with my children and the three people they married. How does life for a mother get any better? And my Juliet. Dear God, my blessed girl. Something that happened on the first day of her life. An intense love at first sight for which I was completely unprepared. She thinks I am funny and crazy, and the best prankster ever. The ultimate GRANDmother compliments. I am so deeply happy. My life is full of intangible presents. I have been given so much more than I have earned. And will joyfully embrace the nourishing bounties, knowing my mother somehow has a hand in it all. Thank you my Persian Philly family for making this night so full of Light and love. And for inviting me to speak at your all womens spiritual gathering of a tailored Ruhi One. My very first time in 18 months. And my dear sister Maxcia will be so happy! Signing off now knowing I wont fall asleep. Oh, so what!
