I apologize for the post about the bird who was fed the infant formula. We have to deal with a lot of people and some days we get nothing but grief from the public. This is a very difficult job to see the damage people do to animals. Today was particularly rough and I think it was just a breaking point for the day. To have such a rare bird and have to watch it die, you start to feel helpless. We realize people are good, mean well and do the best they can. It does wear on the animal care workers who have to undo the damages but we shouldnt have said anything on our facebook page. It was unprofessional and we apologize. We normal try hard to stick to documented facts only. We are just human and we make mistakes too.
