*** I apologize that I was unable to post my progress during the marathon I ran yesterday. I am not sure what the issue was but, I had problems getting the videos to load onto Face book. Nevertheless, I wanted to share some thoughts & emotions from yesterday. I had several physical challenges that made yesterdays run a struggle to finish. Prior to 2010 (I was pretty selfish) I would have done the easy thing & quit. However, I was not running for myself, I was running for all of you & some specific individuals. Some of the people on this list are people who have helped me through some very difficult periods in my life. The other people have gone through challenges or are currently going through challenges. As I mentioned previously, I was dedicating the entire race to a couple of young men (& their mothers) who are fighting for their lives; Dade Cannon & Cody Clark. Both of these young men were on my mind every painful step I took yesterday. I will elaborate more on that on a later post. I am attempting to reach out to Dade because I brought something home from Abilene that I would like to give him. Here is a list of people I dedicated a mile to (they know why): Mile 1 – Barb Thoren & Dade Cannon Mile 3 – Karin Kiewel Mile 4 – Stacey Clanton Mile 9 - Dion Vasquez Mile 10 – Gene & Laura Pierce Mile 11 – Ted Webster & Ashley Clanton Mile 12 – Deb & John Lowe Mile 13 – Kelsey Glynn Mile 15 – Jim Kiewel Mile 18 – Cody Clark Mile 20 – Sandy McMullen Mile 22- My daughter, Kelsi Nuss Mile 23 – My son, Brandon Nuss Mile 24 – Daniel Kiewel Mile 25 – Debby Poppelreiter Mile 26 – Jay Mick & Dade Cannon Sooooo, I ran the race yesterday, not for myself but, for the people who are mentioned above & for everyone else who has gone through or is currently going through a marathon-like challenge…. BAMM !!!
