I appreciate the prosecutor calling this what it is: a domestic violence case. Sarah Koenig approached this from the perspective that murder is something completely beyond the pale of normal human behavior, that only a certain type of mind would ever plot to take the life of another living being (the whole podcast is predicated on the question of, Honestly, why would this nice honors student want to murder someone? It doesnt make sense.) But look beyond the fact the victim died, and you see a man wanting to hurt and control a woman. And thats a crime that has nothing to do with a perpetrators race, religion, economic class, or age. I bet a lot of those guys probably think of themselves as good people, too, and maybe even conduct themselves well in other aspects of their lives and society.
