I began to ponder something today while at work...when God causes one to endure an isolation period, or a wilderness experience, you realize that it is in this place, where both revelation, and divine power becomes the end result. I began today to ponder some examples, such as the Israelites...it wasnt until they were freed from Egypt, that in the wilderness, God began to reveal Himself to them, and demonstrate His power on a personal level for the nation. After they left the wilderness, they conquered the land of Canaan, solely on the faith of Gods divine intervention in their wars. God also called Abraham, and isolated him, from everything he knew, hometown, family, and friends, in order to attain the divine promises God had for him. John the Baptist, was sent into isolation, and came on the scene, with a powerful word of repentance, that moved multitudes, and prepared them for Christ, freeing the people from the religious influence of their time. Christ, for 30 years, was hid among society, before He was unveiled. He was so inconspicuous, that when He did begin to minister in His hometown, the people were astonished at the wisdom He had. Christ was driven into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, and Luke records when He left, He returned to society, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul, after having seen Christ, was converted, and understanding his purpose, he conferred not with flesh and blood, neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went into Arabia and returned again to Damascus. As people continue to venture into Christianitys religious establishments, waiting for the next move of God , I conclude that such a thing will never be found there. The one, or ones to usher a movement back to the original order, will be a remnant, who has not been, or no longer are influenced by religion. In order for God to give pure revelation, He has to isolate these individuals from religious establishments, and outside influence. When Peter and John stood in defense of the gospel before the Pharisees, the Scripture says the Pharisees understood they were unlearned men, and that they had been with Jesus. They were fishermen, before Christ met them. They were not taught in the religious schools of their day. Pauls accolades as a Pharisee were counted to him as loss, and as dung, for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ. You cant have both. An exchange has to happen. As long as the Christian continues to remain in Egypt under the bondage of religion, they will never attain this knowledge. Such has happened to them, as Paul wrote, ever learning, but never able to come to the knowledge(precise and correct knowledge) of the truth. How do you know if you are in the isolation period in your life? Youll know, because GOD must put you there. You wont be able to escape it on your own. No matter how many people you try to get to understand you, they wont. You are alone, and there for a reason..to receive revelation and power, that must be revealed in its season. So if that is you.. I encourage you to stay put, endure, and allow the Spirit to guide you into all truth, and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees at all costs.
