I believe pesticides from plantations in carnarvon were responsible for my brother being born with a cleft palate, having only partial brain development and several other very serious issues that lead to his passing.. what really unsettled me was how the sumich fruit and veg place where my mum had worked.. and the platation owners where we lived all knew of the risks in the late 80s and never informed my mum..I now know that platation owners usually sent women away when they fell pregnant.. and recall them telling my mum there was no risk, even recall the dr saying she was safe... no wonder the mayor or whoever was in charge, along with many of the people around carnarvon, paid for his funeral ..
